Session 4 – Beyond Borders: Strengthening ASEAN Connectivity Through BIMP-EAGA

This session will explore how subregional growth triangles such as BIMP-EAGA (BIMP-EAGA + Niaga Corridor + Timor Leste) and the Indonesia–Malaysia–Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) can serve as building blocks for ASEAN’s long-term logistics integration. The dialogue will emphasize practical cross-border infrastructure linkages, policy harmonization, and digital logistics platforms that connect second-tier cities, ports, and industrial zones across maritime and land corridors. Speakers will examine how to leverage these frameworks to accelerate trade facilitation, reduce intra-ASEAN logistics costs, and prepare for the expansion of ASEAN’s supply chains into frontier markets like Timor Leste.
